Posts, Pages and Custom Post Types columns
Why use Columns?
Any piece of post content can be transformed into a meaningful column and added to the list table. Managing WordPress usually means storing custom content like a date, image or custom field. With Admin Columns you can easily display any of these fields on the list table. You can specify the display format and change things like an a formatted date or featured image into meaningful and readable content.
Posts list table
In this example, we have the Posts list table. We have added custom columns, that will display additional information; such as a Featured Image, Word Count, and an SEO description. With Admin Columns you will be able to display any post field or custom field on the list table.
Custom Post Type list table
In this example, we created a custom post type Houses, because Real estate websites commonly need to use custom fields to allow them to display their listings. They must display data such as Number of Bedrooms, Number of Baths, Size of Home, Price, and Photos. With Admin Columns, any custom field data can now be shown on the list table within the admin area.
