How to use Sticky Headers

Sticky Headers is a feature for keeping the row with the column headers of the list table on screen while scrolling down the page. Sticky Headers can be useful to users when the table contains many columns and/or has a lot of rows. Together with the Horizontal Scrolling feature, it makes large tables easy to navigate while keeping the context of the table structure.

How to toggle Sticky Headers

Every list table managed by Admin Columns can use Sticky Headers. Enabling or disabling this feature is done per table overview and is stored as a user preference. To toggle Sticky Headers, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Screen Options menu on the list table at the top right of the page.
  2. Enable the checkbox for the Sticky Headers feature to enable it. You can directly start using the feature and don't need to click on the 'Apply' button to save the settings.
  3. You can now close the Screen Options menu and scroll down the table to see Sticky Headers in action.
